Tussen de olijf- en pijnbomen ligt Villa Poggio di Andora tegen een helling. Het vakantieoord heeft een mooi zwembad. Het appartement is nieuw en praktisch uitgerust. Op ongeveer 600 meter liggen de (meestal gratis) zandstranden van Andora. Langs de promenade kunt u heerlijk flaneren. Bedlinnen en handdoeken zijn bij de prijs inbegrepen!

For over ten years, Andora has been awarded the "Blue European Flag" of approval for the cleanness of the sea, the beauty of the beach and the quality of its services. This tourist resort stands at the mouth of the River Merola, between Capo Mele and Capo Cervo.





The beach is sandy, while the sea-bed is an interesting mixture of sand and rocks (there is also a wreck dating from the second world war): the two local diving centres organise courses and diving practice. The attractions are completed by a 700-berth leisure port and the local regattas organised by local sailing clubs. The recently created "Whale Sanctuary", which runs from Tuscany to Cannes, has its centre in the waters off Andora, in a stretch of sea where whales can often be sighted.





Andora was apparently founded by some exiles from Phocaea (Asia Minor) before the arrival of the Romans and the construction of the Via Julia Augusta.




The thirteenth-century castle of the Clavesana family is quite far from the coast and from Andora Marina, the oldest part of the town. The complex includes the Paraxo, which was the residence of the Clavesana family and later the seat of the Genoese administrators, and the tower-gate to the castle. Not far away is the church of Santi Giacomo e Filippo: like the tower, this is built of Capo Mele rock and is a remarkable example of Ligurian late-Romanesque style. The so-called Roman bridge over the Merola is actually a mediaeval construction. It is one hundred metres in length and has ten arches, three of which are hump-backed.





Colla Micheri lies in the valley area between Andora and Laigueglia along the Via Julia Augusta. This very ancient town became well known thanks to the work of the Norwegian ethnologist and explorer Thor Heyerdhal. Other itineraries, which can be made by mountain bike, take you to the municipal districts of Rolla and Conna. The Merola nature reserve is a great attraction for birdwatchers.

Take care about trip by boat, because if you buy ticket before the trip and there won't be good weather (they said sth like that) you wouldn't go and you do not get your money back. Very good restaurant near the see next to Pizzeria/Spagheteria - it is in the basement but the kitvhen is really delicieus. Italy is beautiful.

Infos über die Buslinien mit Abfahrtszeiten und Haltestellen in die Nachbarorte, da Autofahren ein Abenteuer ist. Restaurant "Taxi" in Richtung Strand, sehr lecker und sehr nett! Ausflug unbedingt nach Nizza, auf der Autobahn schnell zu erreichen, ebenso Monaco. Das war unser schönster Urlaub der letzten Jahre, der Duft nach Zitronen, Orangen, Rosmarin, Oleander..... dazu das wunderbar blaue Meer, ein Fest für die Sinne. Wer allerdings nur am Strand liegen möchte, wird nicht auf seine Kosten kommen, sehr eng, viel Privatstrand , Strand allgemein naturgegeben schmal. Aber für ein paar Stunden zum Abfrischen und baden absolut i.O.

Ein Park war in Bau, wenn der fertig ist, kann man vielleicht einen Grillplatz einrichten, sonst wars schon fast perfekt. In Andora die Restaurants Taxi, Altea Mare, Casa del Priore, Essen ist sehr gut, Altea Mare hat herrlichen Fisch, Casa del Priore einen traumhaften Blick und riesige Portionen, also keine Vorspeisen bestellen...und früh kommen, es gibt kaum Parkplätze, Taxi ist nahe der Villa und dem Strand. In Imperia das Restaurant alla Padella alla Brace, da gibts glutenfreie Pasta und Brot, sonst muß man halt Secondi essen. Für den Cafe das Stehcafe gegenüber der Bastione in Andora, Espresseo kostet 1 Euro und ist super. Sehr guter Urlaub, die reisige Wohnung hat im August zwar ihren Preis, aber wir brauchen Ruhe und Erholung und da will keiner in der Küche schlafen. Auch wenn das sonst üblich ist.

Für jüngere die Diskothek am Strand, Cervo als Ausflugsziel, Surfkurs 1 mal die Woche MI oder Do rechtzeitig nachfragen. Sehr schöne Restaurants, Brasserie bei Casa dei Priori mit sehr gutem Preis Leistungsverhältniss. Man muss Andora eine Chance geben, erschließt sich einem auf den 2. Blick War alles sehr unkompliziert und einfach mit der Buchung. Beratung am Telefon war sehr gut.
