The dreamy village of San Lazzaro Reale lies in the lovely Impero valley which is above all famous for its very good olive oil. The small vacation house (one-roomed apartment) Casettina da Pesca is located here directly at the river. It offers enough room for 2 people. There is a sleeping sofa as well as a beautiful dining table with a little fitted kitchen in the kitchen-cum-living-room. The bathroom has a shower and a washing machine. You can enjoy the morning sun on the terrace and listen to the splashing of the river.

Borgomaro, 240 meters above sea level, is located in the foothills about 15 km from the district capital of Imperia. It is a beautiful medieval town with narrows alleys, friendly and helpful inhabitants and a typical ligurian flair. The production and trade of olive oil is a long standing tradition here and can be seen in all of it 900 residents.

San Lazzaro Reale is a small Ligurian Town with typical small alleys. A great feature is the well maintained bridge from the 15th century which spans teh Tresendo river.



The local church, built in the 16th century, has a beautiful triptych of the Virgin Mary with her child made by the painter Guidi da Ranzo. Today the locals live mostly from the land, mostly from olives. The speciality of San Lazzoro Reale is „Le Anguille“ – fresh eel, caught in the nearby rivers of Tresendo and Impero.
