Pittore is via de kustweg goed bereikbaar vanuit Diano Marina en ligt in het bij Diano San Pietro behorende wijkje "Colla". Vanaf het bovenste terras van het huis overziet u de hele vallei tot aan zee. Met 2 slaapkamers (1 queen-size bed (140x190) en 2 eenpersoonsbed) met een aansluitende kamer (1 divanbed (80x190) op de eerste verdieping zijn er voor 4 mensen slaapplaatsen. De keuken annex woonkamer en het grote terras liggen op de benedenverdieping van het huis. Op het grote terras is het goed om te ontspannen en 's avonds te genieten van een barbecue.

This municipality is formed of two towns on the sunny slopes of the San Pietro Valley. Dominating the lower town is the parish church, one of the most important in the area (the christening font dates from the eleventh century). All that is left of the original late mediaeval building is the bell tower. It is dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul and was reconstructed in Baroque style in the second half of the eighteenth century. The parvis is paved with pebbles and it was surrounded by a wall in 1564 as a defence against Saracen invasions. The interior preserves a painting of the martyrdom of San Giovanni Battista attributed to Giovanni Battista Paggi and a fine seventeenth-century marble pulpit.
Along the road to Diano San Pietro there are two buildings that were once used for control and defence of the valley: the square "Camandone" barracks building and the "Molino Arduino", a fortified mill.







Just outside the town, when you have crossed the bridge over the Rio San Pietro, you will come to the district of Colla, where you can admire the recently-restored sanctuary of the Madonna della Neve. In the church of the Natività di Maria in Borganzo, you can see a fine poliptych by Antonio Brea: the Madonna della Consolazione (1518). There is a very old humpback bridge over the San Pietro at Roncagli. At one time, the valley was full of mills producing Taggia olive oil. Besides olive-oil production, the local economy is based on the cultivation of vegetables, fruit and basil, which is the main ingredient of the typical local liqueur. Among the many local summer festivals, the most famous is the one dedicated to a pasta dish called "trenette al pesto", which is accompanied by a classic Ligurian wine called Pigato.

Bij de boeren in het dorp zijn olijfolie en Ligurische specialiteiten te koop.
Zeer smalle oprit naar het huis.
(Niet mogelijk voor bijvoorbeeld auto’s in de Mercedes E-Klasse). In dat geval is er een openbare parkeerplaatn op circa 50 m. afstand.

Die Aussenbestuhlung könnte etwas bequemer sein. War alles bestens! Ausflugsfahrt mit dem Schiff "Dea Diana", sehr gutes Essen in den Restaurants in Diano Marina. Ich kann Sie nur loben für den perfekten Ablauf!

Imperia mit dem Hafen ist interessant, Strada Olivio, unbedingt Olivenöl kaufen beim empfohlenen Olivenbauer unten im Ort. EIS, EIS, EIS egal wo immer lecker - ist ja kar. Telefonischer Service war klasse, Website spitze. Vielen Dank für einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub in dem wir wieder fürs stressige Alltagsleben auftanken konnten.

Die obere Terrasse ist "fade" ein paar Pflanzen würden das ganze freundlicher oder gemütlicher gestalten. die Gegend ist perfekt zum Mountainbiken

We just have one advice. Try to live in this area. Find your own way and look for the adventure. There are really nice and quiet beaches, good family restaurants and every trip will be a good excursion. Thanks for the wonderful time we had. See you next year.

Ein Grill hatte angesichts der hervorragenden BBQ-Möglichkeiten auf den zweieinhalb Terrassen leider gefehlt. Wir haben wir uns dann aber einen angeschafft, den wir für nachfolgende Gäste dort gelassen haben ;-) Ansonsten alles tiptop, und gefallen hat mir vor allem die stilvolle Einrichtung bei diesem Objekt, denn bei anderen Häusern hat man oft den Eindruck, dass die Eigentümer dort Möbel hinstellen, die in der Heimat höchstens die Rumpelkammer schmücken. Ergo: Daumen hoch! Noch ein Hinweis zur Anfahrt: Man sollte nicht dem Navi in seinem Auto vertrauen, denn sonst bleibt man im Ort selbst in einer der engen Gassen stecken; Ihr Tipp "Parken an der Kirche" ist zwar goldrichtig, aber dafür kann man leider keine Adresse im Navi eingeben, wenn man den Weg bei der ersten Anreise noch nicht kennt.

Den defekten Gartenstuhl auf der untersten Terrasse austauschen Apricale (nur für geübte Autofahrer), die Grotten von Toirano (sehr schön, wenn es mal zu heiß ist), Albenga, Finale Ligure & Finalborgo, Cervo. Es wäre bestimmt hilfreich, in der Beschreibung der Ferienwohnung zu erwähnen, dass es sehr viele Treppen gibt, da Gäste, die nicht gut zu Fuß sind, hier Probleme bekommen könnten (teilweise ohne Möglichkeit sich festzuhalten - fehlender Handlauf). In der Beschreibung der Ausstattung ist das französische Bett mit 1,20 m Breite angegeben - dieses hat jedoch ca. 1,40 m. Bei 1,20 m sind wir davon ausgegangen, dass es nicht für zwei Personen geeignet ist.
