 Castel vecchio di Rocca Barbera was once a defense village in the 12th century, which reigned high on a rock. The inhabitants left this place in the course of time. Today, however, the houses are being restored by lovers of the old way of life (protection of historical monuments), and together with its winding lanes they give the place its mystical flair once again.
