Recco is a lively town located in a little bay between Sori and Portofino. It is attractive to many visitors by virtue of its numerous shops of every nature.
In addition, Recco carries the nickname: Gastronomic capital of Liguria. Recco owes this name particularly to its world-famous Focaccia. This is celebrated in a big way on the 4th Sunday in May with the Festa Della Focaccia. Furthermore the Trofiette with pesto ranks among the top favorites.
An almost equally famous spectacle is the Sagra Del Fuoco (September 7th/8th), which takes place in honor of the Madonna Del Suffragio. This is a culinary festival with impressive fireworks.
